PAINT COAGULANT (Powdered, Alkaline)

Field of application: Paint coagulant, paint detackcifier for all solvent based paints and all normal spray booth installations

Appearance: white powder

Shelf life: At least 1 year at room temperature and dry storage in sealed original packaging

Application:
Bath Preparation per 1000 Liters
Acrylic 0.25 to 1.2 kilograms
Alkydis 0.6 to 2.0 kilograms
Certain Alkyds and Enamels 2.5 to 3.6 kilograms

After the spray booth has been thoroughly cleaned and the system refilled with water and circulating, gradually add the required quantity of DIA SPRAYBOOTH 8 at the pump intake. After allowing several minutes for the material to dissolve, the booth is ready for operation. A short time after the paint has been sprayed into the booth, check the condition of the sludge.

If it is tacky, increase the DIA SPRAYBOOTH 8 concentration by 10% of the initial charge. Before making the addition, predissolve the material in water because there will be sludge in the booth.

Bath control:
Free Alkali, points 1 to 30
Titration of 100 ml with 0,1 N H2SO4 against Phenolphthalein
mL 0,1 N H2SO4 used is Free Alkali
.
Replenishment: An addition of 0.12 kilograms of DIA SPRAYBOOTH 8 per 1000 liters will increase the free alkali strength approximately 1 point.

Foam behavior: Some of paint components could be foamed at the alkaline pH-value. In this case there are suitable defoamers.

Waste disposal information:
Applicable regulations covering disposal and discharge of chemical should be consulted and followed. Disposal information for the chemical, in the form as supplied, is given on the Material Safety Data Sheet for the chemical.

LIQUID KATALISATOR For ZINC PHOSPHATE PROCESS

DIA TONER 20 is a liquid clear compound based on Sodium Nitrite and used as additive to be added to Zinc Phosphate solutions.

Application :

DIA TONER 20 is added both at the make-up and as a replenisher to Zinc Phosphate process.

Our Technical service will suggest the best operational concentration depending on the specific situation.

ADVICES

Small differences in product appearance do not affect its performances.

Analysis Toner Gas :
a.  Fill a saccharometer with phosphating solution. No air shall be left in it.

b.  Add 1 - 2 grams of Sulfamic Acid through the opening of the saccharometer.

c.  Turn the saccharometer upside down. 

d.  As soon as Sulfamic Acid reaches its top, set the saccharometer back to the original position.

e.  Carry out this procedure quickly and pay attention not to bring back air when turning it upside down.

f.  When gas evolution is ceased, read the amount of gas generated on the scale.

g. The volume of this gas generated indicates the accelerator concentration/Toner gas (mls).

Properties and application:
DIAFOS SP-6000 is a liquid product for iron phosphates.

DIAFOS SP-6000 degreases and cleans steel. On cold rolled steel and iron it simultaneously generates an uniform phosphate layer.

The phosphate layer provides an excellent adhesion for organic coatings and improves the corrosion resistance.

The Process:
A. Cleaning with DIACLEAN AC-600  (or other cleaner-water based)

B. Water rinsing

C. Dry

D. Coat with DIAFOS SP-6000

E. Dry

Note: If the work is solvent-cleaned, Operations No. B and C, above may be omitted.

DIAFOS SP-6000 is applied undiluted by brushing, dipping, spraying, flow-coated, or roll-coating. 

Optimum coating weights produced by any method will normally range between 2000 and 2500 milligrams per square meter.

When spraying DIAFOS SP-6000, a uniformly wet coating should be produced; and low air gun pressure should be used to minimize overspray

NEUTRAL CLEANER

Proses pretreatment/conversion coating dimulai dengan tahap cleaning atau degreasing. 

Fungsi utama cleaning adalah menghilangkan kotoran yang akan mengganggu proses berikutnya. (Kotoran dapat berupa minyak, lemak, karat, kotoran yang menempel dan debu) pada permukaan  Part (metal yang akan diproses sebelum painting).

Kriteria bahan Cleaner yang baik :

• Setiap formula cleaner harus mempunyai sifat membersihkan (detergency)
• Bersifat fleksibel
• Bersifat tahan lama
• Mudah dibilas
• Mempunyai kontrol terhadap busa

Neutral cleaner adalah produk berbentuk cairan, dengan ciri Neutral cleaners (pH 8-10 dalam larutan) -- not really neutral

Kelebihan dari Neutral Cleaner dari Cleaner (pembersih) biasa, karena mengandung Corrosion Inhibitor, pH 8.5 - 10 (tidak korosif dan menyebabkan iritasi umtuk pengguna). Tidak mengandung senyawa hydroxide. Sehingga aman untuk jenis heater (pemanas) yang tidak tahan terhadap Asam/Basa Kuat.

DEOXIDIZING

Deoxidizer biasanya digunakan dalam industri yang menggunakan Aluminium sebagai bahan dasarnya. Deoxidizer biasa mempunyai pH rendah (bersifat asam).

Fungsi Deoxidizing :

Ÿ   Menghilangkan senyawa-senyawa yang tidak larut dalam larutan alkali

Ÿ   Menetralkan permukaan

Ÿ   Mengaktifkan permukaan

Kaitan Deoxidizing dengan etching, kecepatan etching yang stabil sangat penting. Etching yang berlebihan pada saat deoxidizing akan membuka pori-pori (permukaan metal). Pori-pori yang semakin besar dan terbuka dengan tidak beraturan, dapat menyebabkan lapisan pada permukaan menjadi kasar.

Merupakan senyawa dalam bentuk cairan yang diformulasikan untuk deoxidizing Aluminium, sebagai pra - treatment sebelum proses chromating atau proses conversion coating.

  

APLIKASI:

DIA deoxidizer 90 dapat digunakan dengan 2 cara : Spray(semprot) atau Dipping(dicelup). Dengan proses kerja sebagai berikut :

a. Spray (Semprot)

Konsentrasi : 1,5 - 2 % 

Suhu : Ambient - 50 ° C 

Waktu : 30 - 60 detik 

Free Acid : 1 - 2 point 

b. Immersion, dipping(celup)

Konsentrasi : 2 - 4%
Suhu : Ambient - 50 ° C

Waktu : 2 - 10 menit

Free Acid : 1,4 - 2,8 point

Properties and application:     Diacote PP is highly purity grade solvent with special corrosion inhibitors for heavy duty cleaning and degreasing of metal.                                                   
DIACOTE PP is a liquid product based on solvents and acidic phosphates. 

The phosphate layer provides an excellent adhesion for organic coatings and improves the corrosion resistance.

Testing and Control:           The DIACOTE PP solution is controlled in the plant by specific gravity determination.

a.      Specific of Gravity

  *         Record the temperature of the DIACOTE PP solution.

  *        Immerse the hydrometer in the DIACOTE PP solution.

  *        Record the reading on the vertical scale at the level
Storage requirements: This product should be stored at 0 - 20 °C.

Usually used for: Gas sylinder 3Kg PT. Pertamina, and other metals
