Properties and application:
DIAFOS SP-6000 is a liquid product for iron phosphates.
DIAFOS SP-6000
degreases and cleans steel. On cold rolled steel and iron it simultaneously
generates an uniform phosphate layer.
The phosphate layer
provides an excellent adhesion for organic coatings and improves the corrosion
resistance.
The Process:
A. Cleaning with DIACLEAN AC-600 (or other cleaner-water based)
A. Cleaning with DIACLEAN AC-600 (or other cleaner-water based)
B. Water rinsing
C. Dry
D. Coat with DIAFOS
SP-6000
E. Dry
Note: If the work
is solvent-cleaned, Operations No. B and C, above may be omitted.
Operating
conditions (Recommended conditions): Product concentration: 100%
Temperature:
ambient
DIAFOS SP-6000
is applied undiluted by brushing, dipping, spraying, flow-coated, or
roll-coating.
Optimum
coating weights produced by any method will normally range between 2000 and
2500 milligrams per square meter.
When spraying
DIAFOS SP-6000, a uniformly wet coating should be produced; and low air gun
pressure should be used to minimize overspray
