Proses Pretreatment dalam tahapan anodizing salah satunya adalah etching. 
Etching adalah :  pengikisan permukaan  (dalam hal ini Aluminium), untuk memberi dimensi atau kedalaman, sehingga siap untuk proses treatment selanjutnya (Anodizing)

Suhu :  50 - 60 °C

COOLANT (CUTTING OIL) - WATER SOLUBLE COOLANT

Cutting fluid is a type of coolant and lubricant designed specifically for metal working processes, such as machining and stamping.

The properties that are sought after in a good cutting fluid are the ability to:
·         Keep the workpiece at a stable temperature (critical when working to close tolerances). Very warm is OK, but extremely hot or alternating hot-and-cold are avoided.
·         Prevent scratch on metal surface
·         Maximize the life of the cutting tip by lubricating the working edge and reducing tip welding.
·         Ensure safety for the people handling it (toxicity, bacteria, fungi) and for the environment upon disposal.
·         Prevent rust on machine parts and cutters.

Type of Cutting Fluid:
a. Neat cutting Oil : Diacool CT-70NT (standard grade), Diacool CT-71NT(Premium Grade)
b. Water soluble : Diacool CT 90 MS (standard grade), Diacool CT 95 MS (Premium Grade)

CLEANER FOR ULTRASONIC PROCESS (DIACLEAN M-220 L)

DEGREASING (Cleaner for aluminium Surface and Ultrasonic process)..

Pretreatment process / conversion coating begins with cleaning or predegreasing , in degreasing stage .

The main function of cleaning is to remove grease, oil, dust, cutting fluids, Drawing compounds, Rust preventatives. etc on the surface of Part that would interfere with the next process (metal to be processed before painting) .

Criteria of good Cleaner material are :
a. Each formula cleaner must have cleaning properties ( detergency )
b. Flexible
c. Durable (depending oil thickness)
d. Easily to rinsed
e. Control of foaming properties
f. Biodegradable (environment issue)

Mechanism of Cleaning, cleaning process of dirt on Parts such as :
a. Saponification is limited to the removal of fat or organic compounds that react chemically with alkali salts . Compounds of animal or vegetable fats react with alkali to form soap soluble in water .
b . The release is the action of surfactants to release oil from the surface of the metal .
c . Emulsification : surfactant can mix the oil and water until they emulsify, as immiscible liquids
d . Dispersion is the ability cleaner to break down the oil into smaller sections to prevent oil back.

DIACLEAN M-220 L is Liquid alkaline immersion cleaner for aluminium

DIACLEAN M-220 L is a one pack liquid alkaline compound studied for the immersion cleaning of all metals, and particularly for the removal of grease and polishing paste from Aluminium.
  
APPLICATION: 
DIACLEAN M-220 L is used by immersion at the following average working parameters:
Aplication in ultrasonic machine
                                                                 
Concentration:              20 to 80 g/l   
Total alkalinity             2 – 15 ml            
Temperature:               40 to 90°C       
Time:                            5 -   15 minutes in immersion processing
                                    30 - 120 s in ultrasonic cleaner with bath agitation.

PHOSPHATING FOR WIRE DRAWING (WIRE ROD)

The Advantage of phosphating in wire drawing industries are providing corrosion protection during storage and transport. The crystalline nature of the phosphate coating offers an excellent substrate for the lubricant used, inhibiting film rupture of these.

Phosphating of wire is usually based on the immersion application in which coils of wire are lowered into individual baths. The phosphating tank is thus incorporated together with other post-treatment stages downstream of the pickling plant.

A typical process sequence for wire bundles are ;
a. Pickling, 
b. Rinsing, 
c. Activation. (depending on needs).
d. Phosphating.
e. Rinsing.
f. Post treatment.
g. Drying.

ADDITIVE for CLEANER (Additive Degreasing, Wetting Agent Compound)


Our Product : DIA ADDITIVE M-160 LS, Packaging ; 20Kg/Can


DIA ADDITIVE M-160 LS is a surfactant mixture which improves the cleaning efficiency of builder solutions. 

DIA ADDITIVE M-160 LS is suitable for spray cleaning at temperatures in a range between 50°C and 80°C.

Composition: nonionic surfactants and defoamer

Appearance: clear, light yellow solution
Density at 20°C: 1,01 g/cm³

Dependence of Temperature: 
- The viscosity of DIA ADDITIVE M-160 LS increases at low temperatures until it becomes solid.
- The cleaning efficiency of this product is not affected by low temperature.

Bath make up: Add the calculated amount of DIA ADDITIVE M-160 LS while stirring the preheated builder solution.

Range of Application: Concentration: 2-10 g/l or combination with DIACLEAN M-160L (1 : 4)

pH-Value: 8.5 – 9.5  in a solution of 10 g/l

POST TREATMENT (CHROMIUM BASED)

DIALENE 3 is a liquid, Cr6+ final rinse for Zinc and Iron phosphating on Steel, Zinc-coated and Aluminium made materials. Paint adhesion and corrosion resistance are improved through rinsing with DIALENE 3.
Passivating with DIALENE 3 gives temporary corrosion protection to sensitive surfaces after cleaning or etching. DIALENE 3 can be applied in dip or spray processes.

Reaction of passivating -- This product make an passive film in substrate.

APPLICATION:
DIALENE 3 is used by spray or immersion; the average working parameters are:
Concentration: 0.02 to 0.1 % 
Free Acid: 0.2 to 0.6 points 
Total Acid: less than 2 
Temperature: ambient to 70°C 
Time: 15 to 45 seconds 

THE PROCESS :
The complete process for conversion coating a metal surface normally consists of the following steps:
A.  Conversion coating
B.  Water rinsing
C.  Treating with the DIALENE 3 post treatment solution
D.  Drying

DRYING
The articles treated with DIALENE 3 should be dried immediately.  Enough heat usually remains from the hot DIALENE 3 treatment to cause heavy gauge articles to dry satisfactorily.  Articles which do not dry quickly by this method should be force-dried by other means, such as with an air blow off or a drying oven.

ADVICES :
- The post treatment follows the water rinse after the conversion coating treatment solution. 
- Effort should be given to providing an adequate rinse following the conversion coating step to avoid excessive contamination of the post treatment solution.
- The higher temperatures facilitate drying, while the lower temperature reduce the tendency for staining to occur.
- A portion of the solution should be discarded continuously to prevent excessive contamination.

PAINT COAGULANT (Powdered, Alkaline)

Field of application: Paint coagulant, paint detackcifier for all solvent based paints and all normal spray booth installations

Appearance: white powder

Shelf life: At least 1 year at room temperature and dry storage in sealed original packaging

Application:
Bath Preparation per 1000 Liters
Acrylic 0.25 to 1.2 kilograms
Alkydis 0.6 to 2.0 kilograms
Certain Alkyds and Enamels 2.5 to 3.6 kilograms


After the spray booth has been thoroughly cleaned and the system refilled with water and circulating, gradually add the required quantity of DIA SPRAYBOOTH 8 at the pump intake. After allowing several minutes for the material to dissolve, the booth is ready for operation. A short time after the paint has been sprayed into the booth, check the condition of the sludge.

If it is tacky, increase the DIA SPRAYBOOTH 8 concentration by 10% of the initial charge. Before making the addition, predissolve the material in water because there will be sludge in the booth.

Bath control:
Free Alkali, points 1 to 30
Titration of 100 ml with 0,1 N H2SO4 against Phenolphthalein
mL 0,1 N H2SO4 used is Free Alkali
.
Replenishment: An addition of 0.12 kilograms of DIA SPRAYBOOTH 8 per 1000 liters will increase the free alkali strength approximately 1 point.

Foam behavior: Some of paint components could be foamed at the alkaline pH-value. In this case there are suitable defoamers.

Waste disposal information:
Applicable regulations covering disposal and discharge of chemical should be consulted and followed. Disposal information for the chemical, in the form as supplied, is given on the Material Safety Data Sheet for the chemical.

ACCELERATOR

LIQUID KATALISATOR For ZINC PHOSPHATE PROCESS

DIA TONER 20 is a liquid clear compound based on Sodium Nitrite and used as additive to be added to Zinc Phosphate solutions.

Application :
DIA TONER 20 is added both at the make-up and as a replenisher to Zinc Phosphate process.
Our Technical service will suggest the best operational concentration depending on the specific situation.

ADVICES
Small differences in product appearance do not affect its performances.

Analysis Toner Gas :
a.  Fill a saccharometer with phosphating solution. No air shall be left in it.


b.  Add 1 - 2 grams of Sulfamic Acid through the opening of the saccharometer.

c.  Turn the saccharometer upside down. 

d.  As soon as Sulfamic Acid reaches its top, set the saccharometer back to the original position.

e.  Carry out this procedure quickly and pay attention not to bring back air when turning it upside down.

f.  When gas evolution is ceased, read the amount of gas generated on the scale.

g. The volume of this gas generated indicates the accelerator concentration/Toner gas (mls).

IRON PHOSPHATING - SOLVENT BASED

Properties and application:
DIAFOS SP-6000 is a liquid product for iron phosphates.

DIAFOS SP-6000 degreases and cleans steel. On cold rolled steel and iron it simultaneously generates an uniform phosphate layer.
The phosphate layer provides an excellent adhesion for organic coatings and improves the corrosion resistance.

The Process:
A. Cleaning with DIACLEAN AC-600  (or other cleaner-water based)
B. Water rinsing
C. Dry
D. Coat with DIAFOS SP-6000
E. Dry

Note: If the work is solvent-cleaned, Operations No. B and C, above may be omitted.

Operating conditions (Recommended conditions): Product concentration: 100%

Temperature: ambient


DIAFOS SP-6000 is applied undiluted by brushing, dipping, spraying, flow-coated, or roll-coating. 
Optimum coating weights produced by any method will normally range between 2000 and 2500 milligrams per square meter.


When spraying DIAFOS SP-6000, a uniformly wet coating should be produced; and low air gun pressure should be used to minimize overspray

ANTI RUST (RUST PREVENTIVE OIL,PROTECTOR)
