MANGANESE PHOSPHATE

Manganese phosphate can also be used for coatings (which are processed as described above). These coatings are useful for protection against corrosion and wear over time, due to their toughness. Manganese phosphate coating can often be found in the oil and gas industry, firearms and ordnance, aerospace, gears and bearings, and in marine equipment. They are also common in engines, screws, nuts and bolts, washers, and the list continues.

A typical process of Manganese Phosphating in Customer :

a. Degreasing

d. Rinsing (pembilasan)
 

e. Manganese Phosphating

f. Rinsing and Drying
 

g. Rust preventive oil (for protection purpose)

DIAFOS Mn-1 is a liquid one pack material designed to produce on steel a thick, even, crystalline conversion coating made of Manganese and Iron phosphate; the phosphate layer texture is specifically suitable as anti wear and protective coating, can use for material that need a friction, which is able to absorb organic protective, such as crude or emulsified oils.

Application in heat temperature : 95 - 99° C, 15 - 30 minutes

 Packaging : 25 Kg/Can, 

Make up:         

Diafos Mn-1      143 kg per 1000 liters

Steel wool        2.4 kg per 1000 liters (Immersed 1 hour at 65 - 71° C)

Time:    10 to 20 min

Total Acid:       50.0 to 60.0 mls

Result of treatment with manganese phosphate :

after manganese phosphate, bonding with rubber

For protection purpose, add Rust Preventive Oil :
